PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – Don’t be afraid– 2025 property tax bills are on their way from the Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Office. Paper bills will be mailed on Friday, October 31. Customers who opted in for eBills will receive them via email on November 1.  Online payments can begin as soon as November 1 at pinellas.county-taxes.com. Starting Nov. 3, payments will also be accepted at all Pinellas tax collector offices during regular business hours – no appointment needed.

Because tax season is the busiest time of year for tax collector offices, customers are strongly encouraged to save time and pay online, which is safe, easy, and convenient. Online payments made by eCheck have no additional fees, while credit and debit cards will incur an additional fee of 2.95% with a $2.50 minimum per the vendor, 3.95% for international credit cards.

Customers who pay in November also receive a 4% discount. The discount drops to 3% for December payments, 2% for January payments, and 1% for February payments. As of April 2026, unpaid 2025 property taxes are considered delinquent.

“The main function of our office is to collect these taxes in a timely and efficient manner so our taxing authorities can put them towards essential services like emergency response, schools, parks, and more,” Pinellas County Tax Collector Adam Ross explained. “I encourage property owners to save time and pay online this year and, if you can, pay in November to get the largest discount on your property taxes.”

For the 2025 tax roll, there are 436,708 accounts, totaling more than $2.6 billion. The tax collector does not assess or determine property tax rates. Customers with questions or issues about their property tax amounts should reach out to the property appraiser’s office. Tax collector offices are responsible for collecting and distributing property taxes to all 56 local taxing authorities, including the School Board, Board of County Commissioners, cities, libraries, and more. Taxing authorities then use these tax dollars to fund their budgets to provide vital services and programs right here in Pinellas.
